Impressions: Notre Dame

1. Big Win, same rule as big loss. Don’t get too excited.
2. When was the last time Michigan made a top team look slow?
3. When was the last time Michigan closed out an opponent with the offense?
4. Twenty-one fourth quarter points was impressive.
5. Big drive, Michigan answering Notre Dame after they scored their first touchdown.
6. One negative, did not like how they let Notre Dame hang around. Should put dagger in their heart earlier.
7. Do this vs. Ohio State and out come will probably be different.
8. First time this season Michigan won battle at line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.
9. Props to Coach Don Brown, mixed his coverage’s much better this week.
10. Aidan Hutchinson is becoming a force.
11. Daxton Hill and Cameron McGrone make a huge difference with their speed to the ball.
12. Michigan did outstanding job of setting the edge.
13. Kept Notre Dame running laterally all game.
14. Michigan defensive line was getting great penetration.
15. Kept linebackers free to make plays.
16. First game this season Michigan defense kept opponent behind the chains most of the game.
17. Any one else impressed by how Michigan did not let Notre Dame quarterback scramble for big yardage?
18. I think Cesar Ruiz would be an excellent offensive guard. Pulls and leads well.
19. Michael Onwenu played one of his best games (IMO).
20. Michigan line did great job of blocking second level.
21. Offense today was closer to what I thought Michigan would run.
22. A nice meld of Coach Ed Warinner stretch and pull schemes combined with Coach Josh Gattis inside scheme.
23. Still would of liked to have seen Michigan work on play action.
24. With ball being ran so effectively, play action would of been icing on the cake.
25. Hats off to Shea Patterson for hustling down field and throwing a block.
26. Any one else get tired of phantom pass interference calls. Both ways!
27. Hassan Haskins and #24 (Zach Charbonnet) showed improvement with better vision and breaking tackles.
28. That’s what happens when running backs see and hit cut back on zone schemes.
29. I was surprised, actual shocked Notre Dame did not blitz more.
30. Makes me wonder if they took Michgan for granted a bit.
31. Enjoy The Big Win, Until Next Week, GO BLUE!
