Impressions Illinois

- Cannot be any better than 11-0.
- Championship teams figure a way out.
- They overcome injuries, dropped passes, and missed tackles.
- Interesting match up. Both teams use similar philosophy on offense.
- Run the ball, shorten the game, be aggressive on defense.
- Any arguments about giving Moody the game ball..
- Crazy twist, punting hurt UM in 1st half.
- Poor punt by Illinois gave UM short field they needed on the last drive.
- If passing game is as bad next week UM is in big trouble.
- I don’t care who you blame, dropped passes, poor throws, or bad protection.
- If OSU can load the box like Illinois did we are in trouble.
- I did like some of the new passing schemes.
- Using RB as extra receiver in flood routes was nice addition.
- Loveland is going to be an elite player.
- JJ sure looked tentative at times running the ball.
- I wonder if Stokes also was injured.
- The running game disappeared completely after his exit.
- We have talked about one or two plays changing an entire game.
- Zinter’s holding and Corum’s fumble/injury were such plays.
- That was the defense’s worst game. And by a lot.
- 2nd half tackling was atrocious.
- Back side linebacker scrap was horrible.
- Illini killed UM with the cut back because of poor linebacker play.
- I knew Mike Morris was important, but was surprised how much him being out hurt.
- If UM does not get the pass rush going again OSU will score as many points they want.
- What really surprised me was Illinois played more physical than UM.
- Illinois secondary physical play really threw UMs WR out of sync.
- I will be shocked if OSU does not load the box and press the WRs.
- Illinois really hurt UM offense with the backside edge crashing down.
- Twice if UM WRs make blocks JJ has big plays.
- I did not understand some of UMs play sequencing.
- Running the ball with your 4th tailback on 3rd and 4 was maddening.
- Can any one explain to me why UM played 8 yards off WR at times with QB who is not a great deep thrower.
- 34.Oh well, will always take the W.
- We all know what next week is, until then GO BLUE!
