- 8-0 ., undefeated and untested.
- Noticed UM played some of #1s a bit longer this week.
- That is a good thing IMO. You need to play yourself into top game shape.
- You don’t get their without playing into the 4th quarter.
- I like how UM is playing the freshmen and not trying to save the redshirt year.
- 1 you get players experience for next season. #2 with transfer portal so active kids don’t want to sit.
- Very nice adjustment to how UM blocked sweep.
- Instead to stretch blocking they gap block and cracked on contain.
- Allowed offense to gain leverage and stretch defense horizontally.
- Give offense props, MSU loaded the box and UM took what they gave them.
- One area where UM has an advantage over others i Big ten east is JJ’s legs,
- His threat running and extending plays gives defenses fits.
- Loveland is a future 1st round draft pick IMO.
- With all the talk about linemen in portal, Barner got lost in the shuffle.
- He just might be UMs best pick up.
- Lazy penalty by Edwards at end of 1st half cannot happen again.
- It cost UM points!
- UMs interior O Linemen have been very good. They change the LOS in short yardage situations.
- Same for UMs defense interior.
- They are commanding doubles and freeing linebackers to make plays.
- They also allow UM to widen the DEs to crash down and compress the offense.
- UM lines them as wide as I have seen.
- UM showed a interesting zone blitz.
- Blitzed a linebacker and dropped a DT, but what was interesting was the linebacker and DE twisted on the blitz.
- Completely confused the offense line.
- DJ Waller has the skill to be an outstanding corner.
- One thing defense has to be careful about, not getting too deep.
- UM did this a couple of times and MSU took advantage.
- UMs opening drive that took 6+ minutes and ended in a score was perfect start.
- UMs stop on 4th down was also a huge game changer
- Allowed UM to go up by 14 pts and take MSU out of their comfort zone.
- Another solid performance on special teams.
- That’s all I have. Until Next week. GO BLUE!
