Michigan Football: Something To Think About
This morning at the gym I was replaying Michigan’s four losses. I kept coming up with similar script.
Of the four, only vs. Michigan State did Michigan win the second half. And got completely beat in the fourth quarter. And in none of four does Michigan win the fourth quarter.
vs. Wisconsin and Ohio State it was tied at the half and Michigan loses by double digits. Against Penn State, Michigan is only down by eight at the half and gets blown out in second half.
I don’t claim to be rocket science or a genius, but I have been taught since middle school that team that wins fourth quarter usually wins the game. And worse is it seems Michigan is running out of gas at critical crunch times.
If Michigan is going to turn this around this has to stop. Time for staff to look in a mirror and get this fixed. Is it conditioning? Is it mental approach? Is it lack of substituting? Or all of the above.
To make matters worse, this is second straight year we lost the second half and fourth quarter to Ohio State. Michigan has let two very winnable games slip through their fingers against our biggest rival.
End Of Rant!
