My take on what is happening with Michigan Football
This is 100% my opinion based on things I hear from many sources.
I completely believe all the arguing over assistant coaches at this point is a distraction. There are four things that will determine if UM rebounds or not.
1) It all starts at the top.
Coach Harbaugh is going to have figure out exactly where he wants the program to go. The greatest assistant coach in the free world will struggle without a strong head coach to support him and give him the parameters of the job.
2) Quarterback is the single most important position on the field, period.
Unless you are completely loaded at the other 21 positions poor quarterback play will kill you. Simply look at Alabama in the National Championship game. When the freshman gave them solid play they succeeded. When the other struggled, the offense did the same.
If Shea Patterson is eligible, problem solved. If not, one of the other two had better step up.

Bredeson moving outside? Possibility!
3) Find some one to play tackle.
Right tackle killed Michigan last season. I re-watched a few games and our inability to run right made the offense much easier to defend. It also almost got two quarterback’s almost killed.
4) Last and I know many of you disagree, but that’s what makes this fun.
Michigan has to figure how to defend athletic #2 WR’s/Slots and improve nickle packages.
When re-watching games I was shocked at the number of 3rd and longs that opponents converted. Ohio State scored touchdowns on two 3rd and longs, one might of been 4th, I lost my notes, and converted another 3rd and long on one of the touchdown drives.
You will not beat the better teams if you don’t get off the field when opportunity arises.
Are those the only issue, H@LL NO! But (IMO) those are the biggest. Fix them and others become manageable.
