Impressions Nebraska
1. Nebraska might be the slowest team in major college football.
2. I hate the fair catch on kick-offs rule.
3. Might as well wrap Quarterbacks in bubble wrap. Hit them get a penalty. Hit them high get a penalty.
4. Michigan dominated special teams play.
5. I like Michigan offense in unbalanced sets better than balanced.
6. Don’t get what Nebraska was doing overloading so hard to the strength of formation.
7. They got killed to quick side.
8. Interesting that Michigan used so much gap blocking this week.
9. Definite tweak to take advantage of Nebraska alignments.
10. Best pass pro of the year. But have to give as much credit to Nebraska’s lack of speed.
11. Michigan guards did great job on courses pulling.
12. Again, Nebraska’s lack of penetration helped.
13. Shea Patterson showed more patience today and used check downs better.
14. Improved protection made that easier.
15. Michigan was 53% run to 47 % pass this week.
16. Better mix than last week. Still not ideal (IMO).
17. Props to Coach Brown, love how moved the Defensive Line.
18. Lined Defensive Ends wide, moved Chase Winovich inside to 3 tech, and added needed quickness inside with Lawrence Marshall.
19. One more offense, Dylan McCaffrey and Ronnie Bell have bright futures.
20. Oops two more, Mason hits the hole in a D@MN hurry.
21. Prediction, Josh Ross takes over for Devin Bush at Mike next year.
22. Great use of slants to set up blitz.
23. Not the best athlete on the team, but I love how Jordan Glasgow plays the game.
24. He should buy Marshall lunch tomorrow. Saved his @SS on the tipped ball.
25. O’Maury Samuels ran harder today, now just get north and south instead of angling up field.
26. Shea Patterson is showing signs of becoming a true on field leader.
27. Karan Higdon is very good at setting up kick out blocks. Stays on course extremely well.
28. Losing Khaleke Hudson hurts, but completely get why he was in the game.
29. Enjoy Rashan Gary and Chase Winovich, they are outstanding.
30. Offensive Line gapped better than they zoned.
31. Loved that Jim Harbaugh was defending his team. That’s part of the job.
32. Lets see how Michigan does on the road next week. Hopefully better than week #1.
33. That’s all until next week. Go Blue!
