I cannot remember ever seeing a team deflate like Michigan did when Milton entered the game.
After watching Michigan’s last offensive series I 100% get why.
Twice he had opportunities to get the first down and would not sell out.
On offense Michigan has to fix that inside leakage on the right interior.
I don’t get throwing three yard passes on third and six.
I don’t get running your 200lb. quarterback on short yardage red zone when you have 225lb. running back.
I don’t get standing around burning clock when your down two scores and only 5:30 on the clock.
How in the sixth game can the offense have so much problem lining up properly.
I get Cade was injured, but you still have to take a few shots down field when defenses have eight defenders in the box.
Why on second and 10 do our wide receiver’s step out of bounds after short gains instead fighting for the extra yards?
Why did Michigan have offensive linemen in Michigan’s backfield on short yardage wedge blocking.
Offensive line was terribly slow off the ball too many times.
All of our passes were outside the hash.
Why would you do this with quarterback obviously limited by shoulder problems?
That might of been the worse empty offense I have seen in some time, maybe ever.
I don’t get playing man with your safety, Reynolds vs. Dodson on third and six.
I don’t get not spying the quarterback on third and long after being burnt by him eight times.
Why do you constantly give up contain by alignment?
Not sure which was worse, our defensive line being moved backwards or our linebackers nowhere to be found against cut back.
Second week in a row corners have played better.
Still don’t get not taking away the inside, the slant, on third and five or six.
Not sure why the defense keeps over shifting to the wide side.
Especially when Penn State kept hitting the cutback.
I counted twenty-five missed tackles before I got disgusted and stopped.
Michigan has to get a ton more athletic at the outside linebacker.
Setting the edge and covering the flats was terrible.
Penn States left tackle should get a helmet decal. He owned our right side defensive end.
Earlier in the week I predicted that gave up most big plays would lose. Michigan proved me correct. Defense has to get off the field on third down and offense has to stay ahead of the chains and be better on third down.
I have watched powder puff games that were more physical than Michigan today.
Absolutely pitiful the lack of nasty, physical play.
I hate to blame a single player and that not what I am trying to do, but Michigan got out played at the quarterback position again. And as long as that continues will have problems winning games.
