Impressions Michigan State

- Best thing about being 8-0 is the opportunity to be 9-0.
- UM did not play their best game of the season yesterday.
- The good news is they figured a way to get the W.
- This has not always been the case.
- Big Props to UM defense staff.
- Made a Couple of very nice adjustments .
- 1 they started slanting the DTs, Gave MSU issues the entire 2nd half.
- Played 2 high safeties preventing, or at least limiting MSUs big pass plays.
- Sannerstil is IMO a better football player than Dax Hill.
- UM DBs had issues getting off blocks early. Improved as game went on.
- Another big improvement, pass rush stayed in their lanes.
- MSU hurt UM early with scrambles.
- Mazi Smith has become a force against the run.
- Up tempo offense hurt UM a few times.
- This really needs fixed if UM wants to remain undefeated.
- Anybody else throw something when UM jumped off sides on the punt.
- That was the best UM ran the inside zone this season.
- 7 is an amazing talent, but when running inside needs to get that pad level down some.
- I really like when UM uses both Corum and Edwards in the game at the same time.
- Give staff some credit for exploiting mismatch between MSU linebackers and UM skilled athletes.
- UM center is really good at doubling backside and opening up the cutback.
- JJs legs were a major factor in the win.
- His passing was off a bit this week.
- Still not sold on UMs right tackle play.
- Give Moody a game ball for sure.
- JJ seemed to be more accurate over the middle yesterday.
- Time for the #1 issue, red zone offense.
- JJ was either misreading the zone read, or call was predetermined,
- 3 times JJ pulled when handing off would of gained yards instead of losing.
- Another issue is backside edge.
- Edge was crashing down and hitting Corum in the backfield.
- That is why Corum on the gap down with TE kicking out scored twice.
- As I watched the 3rd time I had the feeling UM did not trust JJ and went conservative.
- I almost forgot this one, The way UM defense runs to the ball and gang tackles brings a smile to my face.
- That’s all, Until next time, GO BLUE.
