Impressions Rutgers

- Can’t be any better than 9-0.
- Despite the half time deficit I was not overly worried.
- When you control both sides oft he LOS you are always in the game’
- 1st half issues are easy to identify.
- UM was destroyed in the Special Teams Game.
- 1 blocked punt, 2 missed FGs, and a holding penalty on KO return will put you behind the 8 ball most of the time.
- Another reason I was not overly worried.
- Despite the awful special teams play UM was only 3 points down.
- Major props to Coach Moore and the O Line.
- Despite playing without either starting Tackle that dominated the LOS.
- The interior blockers in particular were outstanding.
- JJ showed growth this week.
- He Managed the game and clock beautifully.
- Please, just learn to put a little air under those deep throws.
- Good news was he missed by less this week, definite improvement.
- Edwards improves every week.16a. Early this season I was concerned he was not an every down back. showed yesterday he is.
- Very Good strategy to get him extra reps and rest Corum a bit more.
- I really like how UM uses the offense to shorten games.
- Keeps the defense fresh.
- I was happy UM let Moody kick that 4th quarter FG.
- Let him finish on a positive.
- UM DTs are getting better every week. The push is not letting QBs step up.
- Will Johnson has star written all over him.
- That said, the missed tackle really hurt for a moment.
- Best thing the defense did, shutdown Rutgers running game.
- One dimensional teams are easier to defend.
- Especially when it is a young QB forced to beat you.
- 2nd big factor, kept Rutgers behind the chains most of the game.
- Tips are picks, nice concentration by Barrett.
- Give Elston some props, D Line rotation is very good.
- 1 huge under rated play by UM, recovering the onside kick.
- Consecutive special teams blunders can be game changing.
- 7 TFL and 3 sacks are a very good day on defense!
- On to Lincoln to take on the Cornhuskers.
- Until next week, GO BLUE!
