Impressions: Washington
1. 15-0 and a National Championship.
2. Doesn’t get any better than that.
3. I give the game ball to the defense.
4. The offense has disappeared at times, but because of this defense it did not matter.
5. Special Mention to Asst coaches Elston and Clink.
6. The D Line and secondary played well.
7. Secondary has faced the two top WR rooms in college football and held up.
8. UM won the 3 biggest games this season for same reason.
9. They won the turnover battle in all 3.
10. Not forcing turnovers was a complaint last couple of seasons.
11. Definitely improved this season.
12. Give Coach Minter some props here also, he and staff came up with a great game plan.
13, Keep the safeties back and force Washington to drive the field. It worked to perfection.
14. You can only do that if the front can stop the run, and that is exactly what happened.
15. Remember, The Ultimate Team game!
16. Most impressive thing to me was team pursuit,
17. They all were running to the football.
18. Even saw Goode make a tackle 10 yards down field. Great Hustle.
19. Graham and Grant are freaks on the inside.
20. UM’s physical play made a huge difference.
21. Check out all the drops and rushed passes. It was obvious Washington was not ready for the physical play and did not handle it well.
22. Any one else get tired of watching Penix whine.
23. I have to go there, Please, work on catching the D@MN punts. OK I feel better.
24. 1st time all season Donavon looked healthy.
25 Played faster and ran harder.
26. Don;t always like when Coach Moore gets too cute with the offense, but give him credit for O Line play.
27. Last two weeks the tackles have played their best football.
28. The unbalanced look, causing the extra gap, made a big difference.
29. Donavon’s two long runs early changed the game.
30. I was fine with Harbaugh going for it on 4th down.
31. I did not like how it played out. Don’t take the offense and then put them back on.
32. Best of Luck #2, you are a true Michigan Man and you will be missed.
