Impressions: Coach Moore

If all the reports are true, and Coach Moore is the next UM HC, what should his priorities be. This100% just my opinion.

1. He has to 100% be himself. Yes, learn from what Harbaugh did. But don’t try and be him.

2. Call a staff meeting and find out his staying, and who is leaving.

3. I am guessing he will need to fill 3 or 4 vacancies.

4. Meet with all the players and signed recruits. Off Season S & C must continue to be a necessity.

5. Do whatever is necessary to keep Coach Herb. This is priority #1.

6. Who ever is staying have them hit the road recruiting hard and immediately.

7. UM is a bit behind, plenty of time to catch up, but needs to by a priority.

8. Decide on your OC and DC.

9. Finding a DC is crucial. I am OK promoting from within, as long as they have the support of top position coaches.

10. Defense has a shot at being elite again. In fact it needs to be if UM wants to stay close to the top.

11. Fill in your staff with best recruiters you can find.

12. Continue to make the midwest, Ohio and Michigan , the basis of your recruiting.

13. Start prepping for spring football.

14. Maintain the culture that Aiden Hutchinson and class started.

15. Make the program about the players and keep having fun.

16. Keep and build rapport with high school coaches,

17. Trust the position coaches. UM staff has done a great job evaluating talent. Don’t micro-manage them.

18. Finally, WIN, he must get off to solid start. Harbaugh set a high bar, expectations will be equally as high.
